The slaughter is regulated by a number of well-defined health standards, in order to ensure the suitability of the meat for human consumption, without neglecting the welfare of the animal during all stages of the slaughter.
As a rule, the operations must take place in an approved establishment and have the necessary hygienic requirements.
Indal conducts slaughtering activities and meat processing in its headquarters; it is equipped with a conventional slaughter line for cattle, horses, sheep and goats, to which a room is attached for ritual – religious slaughter (kosher and halal).
The four deboning lines are equipped with vacuum installations and stations for weighing and labelling individual packaged cuts.
Indal has a higher level of standards than the market.
